Every computer has what is called a Media Access Control address (Mac Address), a unique identifier assigned to network adapters or network interface cards (NICs) by the manufacturer for identification, and every computer's Mac Address is different. BSP is the ONLY backup provider that uses your Mac Address as a second layer of security in identifying you as a user. The first layer being your username and password. ALL other backup solution providers use ONLY a username and password that can easily be compromised.
If you are storing any sensitive data you should be sure to use a backup provider that uses a secondary identifier to make sure you data is only accessed by YOU!
BSP's data transfer is completely secure using 128 Bit AES Encryption. This means that your data is encrypted before it even leaves your computer with a special unique key that can only unlock it when it is retrieved from our Network Operations Center. Your data CANNOT be intercepted in transit.
Your data is stored safely at our secure remote data center. Because we use the latest technology, your data is safely encrypted while it is sent and stored so only you have access to it. It is completely safe from anyone you don't want to have it. We use the same encryption techniques that most banks and e-payment sites do.
